Yinbody 85: Yin Yoga Teacher Training to Awaken

Yinbody 85 training will provide you the tools to teach powerful Yin Yoga classes from a place of balance, presence and expanded awareness. Yinbody 85 is a journey with a strong focus on self-enquiry practices and inner awakening.

This training will deepen your understanding of Yin Yoga and equip you to deliver safe, balanced, intuitive, intelligent and professional Yin Yoga classes. The 85 hour course comprises a blend of face to face training through a powerful residential retreat and quality comprehensive online training. We use a multilayered focus with teaching content to create a strong foundation and structure, weaving in experiential and embodied approaches.

This training is unique! The course delivers quality content: a comprehensive and hands-on approach to working with yin asana, yin principles and philosophy, mindfulness, yoga nidra and meditation. Often, we need to move the energy in the body before descending into the stillness of a yin practice, so this course includes a strong focus on Qigong practices and provides tools for teachers to combine gentle but powerful Qigong movement practice within a Yin Yoga sequence. During this training, we work deeply with the elements, the major meridians and their respective organs and explore the movement of qi (chi/ prana / lifeforce) from an embodied perspective, developing a deeper sensitivity to feel energy not just speak about concepts.

This training is led by Justine Janssen, a highly regarded Australian senior yoga teacher who co-founded Power Yoga Canberra in 2009. Her approach is authentic and masterful – she teaches from an integrated wisdom, weaving lived philosophy into her teaching to create a powerful experience for students. To provide specialist teachings on Qigong practices and teachings, we have experienced Qigong teacher, Rosa Mauvra who will co-facilitate Yinbody 85. They are supported by skilled team of experienced yoga teachers with specialised areas of expertise.

The course provides quality Yin Yoga teacher training for yoga teachers and practicing yogis who are inspired to teach from a deep authentic space.

  • Be able to confidently teach Yin Yoga asana using skilled and creative cueing and instruction to teach students to mindfully come into, maintain, and come out of each pose
