Essence 

An experiential sensory journey through movement, breath & sound

Workshops are conducted on some Sundays from11am-1pm @The Flow Shed Uralla

 

Essence is an ongoing workshop series to explore the self, open to new states of being and activate your own healing. This sacred space is a sensory feast! Opening the door and inviting you to step through to reclaim yourself and step up in your life.

 

There will be movement (e.g. Embody yoga, dance, qigong), breath (e.g. dynamic and activating breathwork as well as calming breath practices) and sound (e.g. potent playlists, drumming and live sound healing). We use ceremony, intention setting, processes and a variety of plants – essential oils, teas, herbs and sprays as part of the experience. 

 

Every 2hr journey will be different and have a different theme, but all will involve movement, sound and breath as the foundational elements.

 

 

Things to know

Please bring a cushion, pillow case (for a yoga bolster - supplied), some water and wear comfortable yoga-type clothing. You might want to also bring a yoga mat, eye mask, journal and pen.

Please arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early to set up and settle in – we commence on time. This is super important! Plan your trip to have plenty of time to find a park and walk to the studio. Not only does this honour everyone in the space who has come on time, but it also honours yourself – you have the time to anchor and arrive properly. If you are going to be a couple minutes late because of unforeseen circumstances, please let Bec know by texting 0432112749. 

Speaking of parking – the owner has asked that people don’t park down the driveway behind The Flow Shed. Thanks! Uralla can bustle a bit on the weekend - give yourself extra time to find a park on the street. 

It is recommended that you have a fairly empty stomach – not so empty that it is distracting, but with this type of breathwork and yoga and movement  generally, you may end up feeling a bit nauseous if your stomach is full. Best advice – eat lightly a couple hours beforehand, be well hydrated and try to minimise caffeine intake.

Injuries

New to the Flow Shed? Fill out the intake form herePlease complete prior to attending your first workshop and bring with you. Paper copies are available at The Flow Shed if you require. 

 

If you have existing injuries including to knees, hips, wrists, shoulders and/or back or any other injuries you feel may limit your physical practice, please contact Bec on 0432112749 to discuss whether this class is suitable and to explore options for modifications if required.

The Flow Shed is located at 43 Bridge St Uralla, NSW. Please park on the street.

 

Covid

We are taking Covid precautions as suggested by the Yoga Australia and in alignment with health authorities. Please stay home if you are not feeling well, have been to a hotspot within 14 days, exposed to someone suspected of have Covid or are waiting for test results.

Facilitator

Rebecca invites awakening through a range of embodied practices including working with movement, sound & breath. She is one of the co-founders of Embody Wellbeing and is the founder of Body to Soul. Having practiced yoga on and off for 25 years, she completed her first yoga teacher training in 2006 and has gone on to design and facilitate a number of yoga teacher trainings since 2016. 

Rebecca has a broad background and range of interests – she has undertaken training in different healing fields and is passionate about ancient and contemporary evidence based practices to experience transformation through altered states.
